Have you stepped outside lately?

It is so easy to get into a funk. Complete the same routine, day in and day out and then before you know it, a day passes, then a month and then a year. It can really take a toll on your mind and body. That is why this post is all about getting outdoors. No matter what type of climate you are in, find something outdoorsy to enjoy.

It is beneficial to get outside and do something fun for your mental wellbeing.  Changing of terrain and weather really stimulates your mind. It forces you to be alert, uses your senses and helps break up your normal routine.

It can also supply much needed Vitamin D. When you are out on a trail, lake or tearing up the mud, your body will absorb some good old Vitamin D. Which is a nutrient your body needs for building and supporting healthy bones.

There are many articles about how getting outdoors also lowers your blood pressure and helps you keep a better stress level. Basically, in a nutshell, smart researchers from all over the world have found that being outside makes us feel happy.   And who the hell doesn’t want to feel happy?

So, if you have been struggling to change up that routine, get up, get off couch and go do something fun outdoors.  You won’t regret it and your body and mind will thank you!
